The car in houston is a much better price but not sure if they will certify it for me since its supercharged but I will be driving out to check it out on saturday also.
I've looked at a few at Sewell cadi and test drove a silver one they had back in November. They only wanted $25k for any of the 05 v's they had. All cars they had were around 30k miles, they were also CPO. Don't pay more than $25k for any 05 at any dealer, but they do sell quickly down here in the DFW area for whatever reason. There was a guy in Ft. Worth that had one on craigslist for around $24k and I bet you could have offered $22k and he would have bit.

Poker face is definitely needed, use patience and try to look near TX as well.

Great advise! I hope I can take them down on the price! It would make my wife happier... If not then I may have to shop until we find another deal! best I've seen is in OK but dont want to have to come out of [pocket for TT&L...

I just noticed that the 2006 you are speaking of is one from sewell. They were selling a similar 2005 silver V with 30k miles for $25k in Nov. I'd offer them less no matter which one you go for (the 05 with 40k miles or the 06 with 60k miles.) Unfortunately you can't get one outside of a dealer because they are much better deals on some privately owned. Whatever you do make sure the car is certified if you buy from the dealer. Ensure that it's in hard print that it's a CPO, don't just trust the sign in the cars window. IMO $25k for a car that has 40k miles is a bit much. You could be in a g8 for a little bit more that is brand new. The caddy is a bit more classy but they are both awesome cars. Ever think about seeing what the difference in interest rate would be between new vs. used car?

I have a certain distrust for dealers after almost getting screwed on a warranty through park place mercedes.

wow, im starting to feel a little ripped off. i got my 06 V (34K miles) for 29,999 back in August. then again, my situation was different than most. i was deployed in Afghanistan and coming home for leave in Sept. i wanted to drive it when i came home and the closest one i could find was all the way in VA. it already had the Corsa exhaust so that sold me.

Don't feel too bad. If you like the car, it still is what it is. I bought mine right before gas went to $4 a gallon, and the market for them took a dump. I still like the car, so it's not such a big deal. It just makes it to where I can't just turn it if I get a wild hair, that's all.

Ok everyone! I found the car! Its a 2005 Stealth Gray w/ 46k miles and I got it for 19k!!!!
They overnighted the paperwork from Colorado today, I will then overnight it back to them and they will ship the car back to me so that I can pick the car up next monday from a local dealer!

Looks great. Buy a shifter before the car arrives.

I bought a katech for I think $250. Then get the bushing from Luke @ Lindsay Cadillac for a few more bucks and be done with it.

Keep in mind, with the Katech you have to thread your **** if you want to use the stocker. Or you can buy an aftermarket **** and thread it.
