Default Need help with Z06 LS7 Slave Cylinder Line Routing

Putting a new LS7 clutch, pressure plate and slave in the V -

Clutch and pressure plate went in smooth, but the steel line on the LS7 slave is longer, and it has a hose attached prior to the connection so that the length is longer than the stock slave.

For those of you that have installed these, how did you make the connection and/or route the lines?

Thanks in advance!!!

Resurrecting one here...

I've always read that it's just a simple matter of bending the line around to get it to fit but of course the guy at Tick said I should be buying one of his "special lines" designed for this swap...

Anyone have any input?

I didn't bend the line of the slave, mainly because I was afraid of kinking the line. I opted for notching the bellhousing about a 1/2" to get the necessary clearance.

I bent mine somewhat but didn't kink it.. still to this day have a nagging feeling that I somehow restricted the flow enough to give me slight engagement/disengagement issues...maybe it's all in my head.

If I did it again I'd just buy one of those hand held brake line benders to ensure a uniform bend..

Tick sells a stainless braided line to replace the long line with one of the appropriate length. Personally, I bent mine forward and used the little metal hanger that came with it and attached it to the bell housing to motor bolt right in front of the hole for the line. Then I just ran it up and it was the perfect length. Worked like a champ.
