i have not try any other shifters, BUT I love the B&M I put in mine.

My limited vote is the B&M

now do you have to drop the tranny to swap shifters, I have read different things. just wanted a little clarification because I might be considering this if you dont have to drop it.

You don't have to drop the tranny or even the exhaust. It's really easy.

I keep hearing gated and notchy for the B&M, but no one has really said what the UUC feels like when you shift it?

Is it tight or loose? What kind of effort? Do you have to hunt for third gear (can you powershift third without missing it)?

The UUC feels nice but the most like stock. The Katech is very positive and has no noise transmission. The B&M makes a tiny bit of noise and has the most positive engagement.

I installed the PRO 5.0 short throw shifter and it works great. Price is good and you can cut it down even shorter if you wanted to.

Katech ... no noise- shorter shifts- threaded shaft for a wide range of shift ***** unlike stock.. best allaround shifter when considering price / noise

Plus I heard other having to replace bushings on their Katech. Not the shifter linkage bushings, but the ones that the screw goes thru to hold it in.

I like fixing something, and forgetting it.
Nobody has EVER reported that before. If it has happened, we don't know about it.

don't even talk about how he has more mods then you, you have the special V with the worlds best turbo setup on it that can beat any car on the road. id put my money on him with his "little maggie" as you say anyday. and 1...2....3....is how many seconds it would take for him to put 5 cars on you.

Actually I've never shelled a rear. The first one was singing pretty good when I test drove it and the dealer replaced it. This one is quite and only transfers only a tad bit of noise through the kars III pinion brace. This is the only diff I've been on.
