Default small dilemna-gotta get rid of lease to buy a V

I drive a 2008 impala SS with 20 months remaining on the lease. I really do not like the car nearly as much as the V and I am going to try and get someone to take over the lease and get a V. I called GM and they said no problem but the applicant must get approved first. Any suggestions to a first time V owner if this scenario plays out. What does one with a maggie on it go for in the 2005 years range?? Anyone know of one that is for sale and is in good shape??

plan on spending about 25k for a maggie'd V, or by one for 20k and do it yourself, whichever you find a better deal.

There are sites like buymylease that I've heard good stories about. also, you can always trade in on a lease just like any other car. Call the finance company, then blue book your ride. You may be surprised at the equity you have depending on mileage and year. Also, you will save the difference in sales tax (CAP Reduction) on the new whip so if you get within 2K of a reasonable sale price on the street from the dealer, you might be in good shape and have a bit less hassle.

thanks all for the help. I may go the craigslist route and see if anyone bites, then off to buy a V. I may go the NA route and supercharge later. Easier on the wallet right now.
