Go to Taco Bell bro', just left one that is a TB/KFC, fawking mob scene due to coupon for free food at Oprah's site, eating some Taco Bell cuisine and you will spend like the next three days with your **** plastered to the porcelin bowl. Also, try a milkshake from McD's, that stuff is way better than Ex-lax.

I have similar issues, have always worn cowboy boots in public, preference is Nocona Snakeskin with the extra pointed-toes, ever since that embarassing incident in back in pre-K, damn teacher got the drooly-eyed, ogler look on her face and made me sit in the front row for the rest of the year.

I realize that everyone will say the time posted is a freak, okay, just show me one 'Freak' stock V time under 13 seconds. The C5, we will not even discuss the C6, which BTW most C5Z owners will tell you are not as fast, at least not the LS2s, is about 700lbs lighter, can be launched, and pulls like a *****. You may beat a C5, not a C5Z, from a roll, in your sweet spot.
Not bashing the V, I own one, but a C5/C6 is a much quicker car given the same mods/HP and driver skills.
when I say hung with him (c5z) I mean my bumper was at his back door till about 90...and that was from ~30 roll....he was really starting to pull after that...there's a couple vids of c5z's vs c6's (LS2) online...they look pretty even, really a drivers race.

I hear ya bro, in our sweet spot, 60-135mph it may be good for us, but given the aerodynamics and the weight difference, the same HP (V1 vs. C5Z) it 'should' not be close. A C5Z/LS6 vs. C6/LS2 should be very close, not sure on gearing, or what type of race, but the HP and weight is pretty much even.
I guess I am just trying to be the Reality Police, as a stock V1 at 3,850 lbs should never beat a C5Z or C6 of equal HP in any race---unless of course we have a poor driver behind the wheel of the Corvette.

well heres the scoop. a buddy of my dads used to own one and was talking crap so just based on the fact he doesnt even own one i told him i would have eatin him up! i was highly intoxicated. so his plan is to rent an 04 c5 automatic. so therefore i assume it is bone stock. not bragging but i am an extremely skilled driver so there is no issue there. the bet is if i win he pays me what the cost of the rental for the weekend is. if he wins i pay and he rolls in a c5 for the weekend. like i said i have a magna flow cat back and thats it. i will do whatever it takes within reason to win. im more competitive than anything so i dont care about the prize money but more about the win. what would it take to make it a sure win?

Put a 100 shot on the car and you'll win. Call a site vendor and get a kit and the goodies for 500-700 and you'll spank him big time.

You should beat a stock 2004 C5 automatic, but it may be closer than you think. Here are the specs, but still considering baiting him into a 40-135mph, or a 60-135mph run, as the V1 is a biotch to launch hard:

LS1 350BHP/360TQ---not sure on 0-60 or 1/4 times

CAI get you nothing but a meaner roar, get a tune before you race to ensure victory.

oh boy, you really stuck your foot in your mouth.
i would say on the day he goes to pick/rent the c5, you say, you
cought a bad case of the swine flu!

you cant win from a dig...
your only chance is to do 3rd gear 40mph roll races (no) down shifting,
just agree to both will be in third...
wait,that wont work , he's getting an auto....idk ?????????????

you really think theres no chance? i could be wrong but i feel like i could beat him.... especially if i gut everything i can.

does anyone know where peak tourque is? i doubt it pulls all the way past 6???

also, the cai doesnt make any improvement in e:t?

no tha cai can acctually make you run to lean and make our crazy
hypersensitive knock sensors go off all over the place retarding timing and losing power.

peak tq is at @ 3800 to 4100 rpms.

it pulls to 6250 strong.

gutting wont help (much) unless you take all the seats out & four doors off.
then you will win. every shaved 100 lbs is a solid 10th in the qt/ml

Well if he pulls through im definately doing it. Im also assuming that being a rental some other squirrel already hammered on it and it isnt in top performing condition. I will let you all know the outcome.

On that note what is a good slick or cheater slick that will fit the stock setup?

Don't bother with the tires if your going from a roll. The nitrous kit I had on my old Vette was a used mustang kit from a friend. It took about 2hrs to put on and that was with hiding everything. Don't spend money on a new kit just buy a used wet kit for around 2 to 3 hudred put a can of good octane boost in the tank and spank that fiberglass ***!!

When your done take it back off if you want. Trust me when you feel it you won't want to take it off!!!
