IMO, "yes."

As time goes on and we hear that diffs are actually surviving numerous clutch dumps in a lot of cars, then I'll be a confirmed believer. Until then, consider me a hopeful believer.

Thats what I'm waiting on. I really want to get these axles but I don't want to get the axles and break the housing with out hopping.

I want to see some guys without kars do some torture test and with that the $$$ will be on the way.

When you get them on your car and BEFORE you lower it off the jackstands, MAKE SURE you tighten the 12 bolts ON EACH AXLE. Then, and only then, lower your car back down to the gound and drive it.

Doug Klein (CTSV05) in Newark,Ohio, designed the KARS kit and produced around 50 sets of them. IMO, he may have underpriced it. That may have combined with some other life/business pressures, and he could no longer continue to produce them. Within the last year, another attempt by someone else to replicate them resulted in maybe another dozen or more being produced at a higher price but that's about it. A few kits may be floating around, but they are very tough to come by. I happened to nab my original kit on eBay about 2-1/2 years ago from a member in Baton Rouge. If it comes to pass that the axles alone are sufficient to protect my diff, my kit will go up for sale.

Ok, color me skeptical. How does putting these axles in keep a fragile 4.75" (Sarcastic) differential from imploding? I have a laundry list of mods I want to do but the stock diff at dealer cost is nearly 2k. I know if I blew it up I'd figure out a way to put a '03-4 cobra center section in it though.

BTW, just saying you can dump the clutch and do a massive burnout means nothing. Dump the clutch and run a 1.5 60' with these axles for a while then I'll be impressed. Heck even a 1.6 60'

I'd be fine with a 1.75 60'

Anybody who's at all prudent wants to know exactly that. Nobody knows for certain (except maybe two or three GM engineers hiding in a cubicle somewhere) that diff failure is 100% a result of wheelhop where very high load spikes occur. Diff failure may still occur under high RPM clutch dump conditions, especially with sticky tires/surfaces and power adders thrown into the mix.

The thing is, the more guys who put these axles in the cars, and the more burnouts that are done, the higher the evidence piles up. Like you, I want to see just how high the evidence gets and what does it say.

Some dude on the other forum made a steel diff, said he had no issues, I think he wanted $4-5K for the case and gears. While I think the KARS kit (which I have) and the axles are a good value for the money, I do not think it is a 100% fix for everyone. My case grenaded at the strip, no wheelhop, hard 1-2 shift. Stock cars and those with bolt-ons may gain a lot with the axles, but I doubt they will fully make up the deficiency for the weak diff.
