Here is the time slip.
Sorry guys if the 1st time at the track only gets a 11.64 @ 134 mph.
I admit it was a bad run & there were a lot of mistakes made.
I know I can do a lot better, After all I'm only 6 mph away from the 140 to 145 it's said I should be trapping & of course lowering the ET a full second will take some work, But I think it's doable considering the lousy 60' among other mistakes made, But remember I'm kinda in unknown territory here and I am doing all the R&D work on these things to find out what Works & what doesn't. When your thinking of what that much power should do, Just don't forget how hard it is to put the power to the ground on these things. It's not like were dealing with a fox body or a f-body....... This is a car that is still all Caddy & has all the luxury & the ride of a Cadillac.
When you really think about how awesome it is to have a Cadillac that still has all the factory options, Still looks & rides like a luxury car & can still possibly run the 1320' in 10 seconds @ nearly 140 mph ........
That is amazing !!..........And shows just how unique our CTS-V is.

Bob,
You set the V record, so damn good!!! Your times will continue to get better as you get more runs under your belt, and as you said, it is a street-legal Caddy with lots of luxury.
Good job!!!

I enjoyed watching it fly down the track despite the mistakes. It was still moving very
well.

Awesome! Bob, I bet you didn't run that fast your last time at the track back in 1968?

I'll bet your 60ft time will drop significantly as you get use to the track and you come out higher than 3200 rpm. Bob

Congrats on the new record, I'm sure you'll improve with some more seat time. I've been waiting for someone to lower the record and I knew it would be you!

Congrats Bob, your caddy is the baddest one i have ever seen. Hats off to all the CTSV owners at the dyno day last Saturday i never knew how much power those cars could make. Bob with more seat time in your car at the track that thing is really going to fly. GOOD LUCK

Nice. Only running 99mph in the 8th, and then 133 out the back, makes me think this car has ALOT more potential in it. More MPH too. Quick shifting is key. No, crucial. All in all, I would be happy with it's first time to the track man. If the ran 12's all night, that'd be dissapointing at that power level but, you didn't. Start chiseling away.

peace

I'm back in the Army stationed in Korea. The rear is being redone by Jim Unger's chassis shop in Dayton. I'm coming home on leave in the middle of Oct, it should be done by then

Thanks Bob.
I finished #6 in points with the UMTR this year even though I missed the last few races. That's 4 years in a row in the top 10. When I get back I'm going to get my V down the 1/4 even faster with the rear fixed (I hope)

Cool, good deal! Hopefully the rear holds up for you. Bob
