My car is bone stock, not lowered at all.

255/35 would look way to short in the sidewall in my opinion.

I decided to just throw the 255 40s on and see what they felt like since I got such a good deal on them and because they are the stock tire on the amg black series, audi s4/s5,jaq xjl and s type,nissan gtr,lambo gallardo, 911 carrera s,m5, m6 to name a few, so I figured they can't be that bad.

Haven't really put them to the test yet, but in the same bends on the way to work they are incredible compared to what I took off the car. I can't imagine them being stickier once they lose a couple of tenths. They probably aren't up to a level of a pure extreme performance summer tire but they are definitely a top tier max performance 3 season tire.

The rear is coming down some as it's 1/2 inch higher than the front. Haven't had time to adjust it yet. The ride is much much firmer than before, but in a good way.

What brand and model of tire did you get? Can't see in the pics.

OnefastV, they are dunlop sp sport maxx gt. Tire rack had them on sale for 135 ea, now they are back to 304 ea for some reason.
