Well, the car is at a local shop. I had told the guy what had happened and he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Super cool dude.

I'll let you guys know how things go. In the mean time, I'm shopping for a Spec clutch, as recommended...

I think that sounds more like a broken shift fork if you lost reverse as well as 5 & 6. I know 5th and reverse are a shared fork in a lot of these type transmissions. Im curious to see what they find.

I dropped the car off last night. So far, the transmission guy said it was likely a shift fork, too...He's going to crack it open and see what the deal is. In the mean time, it's time for a new clutch and flywheel.

I'll let you know exactly what he finds soon...

Update: I just got back from Certified Transmissions in Tomball, TX. The transmission is all apart and it's bad. The gears on the shaft that hold 4,5, and reverse broke. I'm facing either $900 on replacing the part, or replacing the whole trans. So far, I'm in the whole $650 for a SPEC clutch and flywheel. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If it's broke then upgrade. Send the tranny out to RPM and have them build you a new one.
