Hopefully the police report is all I will need. I have 2 witnesses as well that saw what she did. The officer really did not even want to hear what she had to say as she tried to fabricate what happened saying she pulled out and I tried to pass her. He told her if that had happened the damage would not have been on the front corner of her car. He advised it was 100% her fault and the report would reflect this as well.

My insurance company already filed the claim to hers and I have the claim # as well already. Just waiting for the report to be finalized so I can move forward from here. Ruined a nice holiday shortened work week too.

Screw that I'd get a lawyer anyway. Especially if you are in pain. Get to a doctor and at the very least get looked at in case there are any long term effects. You'll get paid for the value of the car(or the repairs if it isn't totalled) shortly after it is assessed by the adjuster. If there is any kind of actual injury her insurance will cover the medical bills. her insurance company will try to pay the absolute least amount of money that they can to settle. A lawyer's job is to ensure that you are properly compensated, and their fee is typically a percentage of the settlement amount, so a larger settlement for you = a bigger paycheck for them.

One of my soldiers had the same thing happen about a month ago except that when the girl got out of the car, her drink cup fell out onto the pavement. No bullshit. Yep. she went to jail that night.

^^^that is good advice. getting a lawyer pay be a good thing. because you dont want to get dicked over by the insurance company. that would just be salt on a shitty wound.

good luck man. hope everything turns out on the up and up.

Only .82 on the G meter before the crash?

JK man, sucks about the crash.

This would be a good start to the repair process:

Lol fellas, trust me she is not hot. Big juggies but she is short and chunky and was dumber than a box of rocks. I talked to one of our salesman and he recommended a local place that does a lot classic restorations. They did his buddy's NSX and it was flawless. He did bodywork for a living and told also to tell her insurance company I will be getting new GM parts not used or aftermarket. He also said the shop I will be using is hated by INS cos as he does not cut corners to finish cars in a flat rate time like one of their participating dealers would.

On another note, after hearing they will have to cut out a section just below the roofline down to the floor and weld in a new one I am even more pissed. I paid cash for this car so I might sell it or trade it in on an E60 M5. I saw a few 06 cars I liked. I am unsure though. With cost difference I would be spending, I could buy another car.

You mean you're going to end up paying out of pocket for the insurance repairs?

If not I really don't see what the big deal is. Just have them weld everything back together. In case you weren't aware, there's a lot of stuff welded together in a car, even from the factory. Having a piece welded in is nothing to fret about, and nobody is going to notice that when the car is finished.
