yeah I saw that too last nite
been thinking about 2011 GT500 but @ $55k++++
...and I get a kick of the hype out there...."fixes all the problems of last years Mustang.."
which has been the line used on Mustangs for past 10years....
......we wont know the problems of the 2011 GT500 until the 2012 comes out..lol...
the better deal is the 2011 Mustang GT + couple mods will make 11 GT VERY fast...
and the 2011 GT will crash the prices of all Roush 427R Mustangs too..

I wonder how the 09 sedan would compare about the same??

That comparison is as bad as top gear comparing the new camaro to an E55....completely different buyers.

sedan and coupe have pretty close numbers. The coupe doesn't weigh but like 200 lighter I think...

The cars are in the same price range, both are 2-door, both have rear seats, and both are 500+ hp. Why wouldn't they be compared? Bet the Caddy handles better too.

Oh, and the CTS-V coupe only weighs 13 lbs less than the Sedan. Not much difference.

this^

does seem that the V might be easier to launch while the stang is faster. I wonder how a 1/2 or 1 mile race would look like.

The combination of the crappy conditions (that surface sucked) and manual trans really exaggerated the incompetence of the hammerhead driving the GT500 (check the video at 0:36 and 0:40 to see what I mean). The trap speeds would lead me to believe the GT500 would certainly run down the "V" in a longer race.

It would have been nice to see the stick version of the Caddy in that race. It likely would have been a few tenths slower, but probably would have had a similar or slightly better trap speed than the Shelby.
