The stock resonator is quite light and free flowing for an OEM exhaust. It has an integrated X portion inside. I have one in the shed. I'll take some photos and upload later. Do not remove the stock resonator until you've tinkered with your muffler options. The stock mufflers are also far lighter than I expected, and they appear to be well designed. This is atypical for an OEM exhaust based on my experience. GM did a nice job on the stock exhaust. However, my experience is with older cars.

I saw some thread during my searching of some guy saying that muffler delete messes with backpressure and can make less power. Personally, i find that to be a load of horse.....stuff.

The stock cats and resonator and stock size piping i feel should satisfy any backpressure needs. However, what do most of you people think about this guys opinions?

What will be louder on a all stock car: pulling the packing out of the mufflers, or replacing the resonator with an x-pipe? How about both? Videos?
