Houston "V" meet?

Breaking the diff is always on my mind when I take the V to the track, but I've had good luck so far.
I'm becoming more convinced that the 2nd and 3rd generation V1 diffs are actually pretty stout. Seems like most of the failures lately have been with half shafts, specifically the CV joints. I attribute this to two reasons, first most of the 1st gen diffs being swapped out for the stronger 2nd and 3rd gen and second the various methods to control wheel hop.
I know now that I have posted how strong the 2nd and 3rd gen differentails are I'll shatter mine at the track Friday. But if that happens I have an enclosed car trailer to take the car home, wouldn't be the first time I've blown something up on the track and it wont be the last.

I talked to Renzos and Stone last night. Renzos is going to be there later, maybe around 9. Stone is either going to call and cruise out with us or just meet us there around 6.
Anyone heard from Neversatisfied?

Been there done that and it failed. DFW has by far the most V enthusiasts so the meet would have to be in DFW. 3 years ago we had a "Texas V meet" in Houston and only 10 Vs showed up.
Hell, we can amass 21 Vs at Cars and Coffee alone in Plano. DFW V meets average between 15-21 Vs. With a little planning we can get near 30 together...that will take a lot of PMing (all DFW V owners) and posting...a task I am not up to anymore.

Im still in. Ill be rolling with another murdered V and a heads/cam silver V. Im trying to get more but ill be happy if neither one of my current buddies back out... lol

Damn, I can't make it out tonight! Just saw this. Been traveling all week and the ball & chain would be pissed if I went out. lol
I'm up for the Texas V meet also. And maybe we should hit Cars & Coffee as a group next month?

we had a blast last night!! there was 6 v's there and there was 4 racing. Lot of fun!! Gulfm3 had the fastest of the night! I was happy with my first time out. Now for the mods!!!
I'll scan my times into the 1/4 mi list at work Monday.
Gulf almost broke into the 11's, he was so close (was his goal)
My new goal with mods is to get teched (tossed) out by the ole lady, just like she tossed me in my z. There was some FAST SRT jeeps there!! wow!! (11.7 was the fastest I saw)
2 weeks lets try and all roll to CNC guys!
