Default Let it begin!!

Got my V about 6 months ago, I'm loving it so far! Even after the diff went the 2nd month lol anyways...

I bought some PRC 5.3 heads out of the classifieds, will be doing a Pat G custom cam (~228in, with a sleeperish idle, and some pacesetters. After that I'll be doing all the V specific stuff, anti hop axels, getting rid of the flywheel, mounts ect.

Hoping for 410-430rw.... It's stock with a catback and intake and dyno'd 348/358, so another 75 horse and 50 ft lbs would make for a fun lil grocery getter!!

I am selling a brand new custom Comp LSR/XER cam that i got from Tony at AFR. Specs are 227/232. 613. 595 on a 114+2 LSA. Let me know if your interested. It only has half a degree of overlap so the idle would not be rowdy. I am selling the car soon so I wont be installing it. $300 shipped and its yours.

Did they spec that cam specifically for AFR heads?

OP, you should have no problem hitting 410-430. If you can afford it id definetly grab a FAST and 90TB with some injectors, thatll prolly put you close to 450.

I was thinking about that too. My goal with this is to keep it Cali smog friendly, not concerned about visual, just emissions. If the FAST fits under the motor cover I'm all for that! I would get it used tho, I can't bring myself to spend that much on a manifold.... With a ported LS2 90 it would have to gain...

Its no bigger size wise then stock, unfortunately used FASTS are just as damn expensive. Plus they dont make 90s or 92s anymore just 102s.

No, it was going to be used for a mild stock cube build. His customer wanted to go with a stroker after thinking more about it. It is the perfect size for a nice mild mannered ride.
