spot on! Right now the LS9X clutch would be useless, but I'm planning on some big mods in the future.

ive decided this summer im either getting a maggie, or doing H/C/I (with a Nitrous Outlet plate kit for when I drag race).

Just a word of advice, build a car for one thing lol . **** gets insanely expesnive if you try and build a car for multiple purposes. Road course and drag strip couldnt be any more different. But if I were you and wanted to focus on road courses id go with a solid heads/cam setup because heat soak would kill you with a maggie.

How about throwing in a slave cyl and what slave is it..and will my master cyl work with this setup...how come the kit doesn't come with a slave cyl....it's like having a 700hp engine and no freakin gas pedal

Our Corvette kits come with a slave because the ZR1 slave is a required part of the conversion. Luckily, the CTS-V slave is short enough to allow the swap without replacing the slave. The CTS-V slave is over $400 at the dealer, so we left it out of the kit to reduce cost and let the customer decide if they want to replace the slave or not. The master cylinder does not need to be replaced.

Dang, didn't notice there were two threads: LS9R and LS9X.

I bought the LS9X kit a couple of hours ago from Jason, not the LS9R.

Just want to be clear on that.

At your power level the LS9X will be more than enough.

So what makes this a cts-v only part?

What would stop someone from using it in their Fbody or in my case Rx7 with fbody driveline.

The CTS-V version does not include a slave cylinder because the stock CTS-V part works. All the other kits require the ZR1 slave. We currently have fitments for C6, 2010+ Camaro, and G8 GXP. We don't have fitments for F-body or C5 (yet).

yup your stock one will fit, but judging on its current condition u might just want the piece of mind to change it while your in there. but from what i understand the kit works because the size of our stock slave is "short" and allows everything to fit nicely thus to cut down on cost KATECH doesnt put a new one in the kit its an option

I got a chance to pop the box open, and this is what I found.

Anybody looking to buy a gently-used UUC FW with 5k on it?
