Just installed uuc motormounts....
All i can say is WOW! These are a must have. Mine were completely trashed and had been for a while, the car now feels absolutly incredible. There is still a little bit of diesel shutoff due to the heavy flywheel but its 110% better! It feels great when starting up, idle, but most of all it shifts sooooo much smoother the car just feels faster and crisper.
I really wanted todo a write-up, im not too mechanicly inclined and was able to do this in my drive way with ramps a jack and simple tools, But it took me long enough without trying to document it! so i just snapped a few pics instead
this thing saved my life! it was freezing and windy as hell today!
lower bracket removed
lower bracket out
upper bracket and old mount out
garbage stock mount
old mount and upper and lower brackets out
new mount installed on upper bracket
new mount and brackets in place before bolting up subframe
still need to install my UUC diff bushing but ran outta time.

its all a big PAIN IN THE A$$!!! Ha no not really defintly tough to get to all the bolts but mostly time consuming. The two front bolts for the lower bracket are impossible! Just completly unreachable it took me tangling my arms around the a arms to get the socket around it and once i did i could only move it about .00000002 of a turn! it was tuff geting them off and putting them back in

I did my shocks, rotors, converters and mounts at the same time. It was much easier having all the other stuff removed. When I was done I couldn't remember tightening the top bolts on the mounts. Hopefully I did, because I'm not taking it apart to check.
It was definitely a PIA.

I couldn't imagine doin this in the driveway. I helped the guy that did mine, in a garage on a lift, and it was still a PITA......The old ones came out like a breeze due to all of the extra clearance from it being smashed....A whole nother story going back in. BIG UP to you... I bet there was a time or two you questioned your decision on doing them yourself ahahaha

I had the gen 3 rear put in last month and of course that came with a new factory diff bushing. I cannot believe the difference!! If that one bushing made this kind of difference, I cannot wait to do the motor mounts. I'm just a little busy these days.

Yeah, ideally you should always replace the trans mount at the same time as the engine mounts, although least the tranny should be easier when the time comes, I bet!
I plan on ordering those (engine/tranny and poss. diff) from CS after the holidays and am not looking forward to doing this. Done it before on other vehicles, but if this is anything like changing plugs on this car, gonna take some creativity!
You think an engine hoist would work any better than a jack? I have one and figure it may leave some extra room to work under there, although I never like working under stands.

I just got CS mototr mounts and trans mount installed. The car feels great now, so much smoother that before, and I swear I can hear the rumble of the engine more now than before. 1-2 shifts feel much better, before it felt like the engine was gonna rip right out the car.
