CTS V Race Car 2011
80% stock ?? Carbon fiber body, lexan windows, no supercharger, no magnetic shocks, less HP than a stock V2 and 3100lbs. I'm not dissin it. I think it will kick some *** for sure. It's a sales and marketing tool which in my book is perfectly OK. Sounds alot like Pilgrims 05 racer except for the carbon fiber. Cadi has the formula for success in racing.

but with 3100lbs and i would imagine a high high rev limit and making its 550 or so hp at a meaty part of its powerband it would probably out dyno the lsa aside from the peak #. it might be the same motor thats in the old gt1 c6

The V2R it seems is built on the concept of the original V1R. The things that make the stock V2 unique like the blower and the magnetic shocks are not allowed. With 3100 lbs and a NA LS Katech motor, we can probably expect it to be as formidable as the original. No great improvements, just a solid well designed racer.

it would be what the v2 is to the v1.... similar but better in ways that would hopefully help it on the track.
the c6 zr1 isnt able to use its blower either due to the series rules.

Which 80% is stock? Gutted interior with roll cage. Engineered suspension, all carbon fiber body panels and a modified engine. Perhaps the only thing stock is the engine displacement, LH driver and body style. Doesn't equate to 80% on my calculator.

normally in race cars things like body dimensions need to be changed, suspension points, etc. the materials are different but the design is where they are prob getting the 80%, of what they are allowed to keep, from.
