D3's new motor mounts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/D3-St...ht_3245wt_1002
Seem a little crude and expensive! I paid less then half that for my RC51 mounts that have some type of isolation. I cant imagine these.
"The D3 Solid Steel Motor Mounts unprecedented strength allow for an ultra-secured motor and are the ultimate upgrade to the soft malleable often breakable motor mount that the factory provides in the 2004-2007 CTS-V automobiles.
The D3 Motor Mounts blueprinted for consistency down to the millimeter and are manufactured of 100% steel and tig welded. Ride comfort is maintained since the motor mounts are manufactured to slot into the OEM brackets with no modification required. Yeah right! Like your gonna maintain ride comfort with solid steel mounts.
These motor mounts are essential for any high horsepower CTS-V build or anyone running after market headers where the heat emitted can melt the motor mounts."

We may have...Yeah, and "consistency down to the millimeter" may not always be a good thing (afterall, a mm is ~1/32" tolerance ), haha...whoever is doing the marketing is obviously not the same person who is designing this stuff and if they are then they a) either don't know what they're talking about; b) poor in communication; or c) know it's nothing special, just trying to sound like it's something unique, and trying to get top dollar out of something, or whatever. Doesn't matter, just funny and shame companies do that stuff...so ebay-ish and what really turned me off to that place (ebay).

its simple to blue print a motor mount you simple draw a blue print of it in 3 sides or a 3-d blue print so that you have all the dimesions to run it thru a cnc machine easy enough you know can sell a mount you made on a cnc machine thats blue printed.
i agree bad marketing stradagey they have built a nice v1 from the youtube videos i saw but they sure are looking for people with no brains and big wallets

I wonder if they are represented on this site. If so, in order to prove their claim of "ride comfort maintained", I would be more than happy to test a pair and give a review on behalf of the V community.
Yes, it's true...I would do that for y'all.

well thinking about it..i dont think the vibs would be as bad as thought.. my CS grey mounts are pretty solid and the only place im getting vibs from is the tranny mount. if i put the stocker back in it cuts my vibs down 80%.
the motor mount are mounted to the cradle which is rubber mounted.. the tranny on the other hand is mounted directly to the frame. which in my mind transfers the vibs to ur butt. either way $400 for a set of welded pipe is just robbery. and the claim of being blueprinted...come on..i can measure and make those things in 30 minutes

If they are so easy and inexpensive to make, I sure do wish someone would.
Based on what Punishment said, the vibes might not be bad at all.
I, for one, sure would be willing to buy a set and give it a shot if the price was right.

Punishment,
I would definitely like a set and woul be willing to try them out and report back to everyone.
Do you think you could essentially copy the D3 design? If so, what would be the anticipated cost?
