I try and stay out of Virginia as a matter of... I dunno HATRED. Not the people just the state.
Skyline drive would be nice but its just kinda point to point.
Dyno day i would need to find a good american shop. all I know is import shops(subaru) and they wouldnt be the best for a good RWD dyno day.
Cookout is easy. I know a place and it works out very well. Rocky Gorge in Laurel. Not many people know about it so its normally VERY quiet.
Normally for a cruise meet I try and have a lunch at a quick restaurant. Then a drive to a shop or good photo destination.

Gotcha, I'm not a fan of VA either...cops there aren't fans of modded vehicles.
That Moore Automotive place does alot of american muscle cars...or go up to that guys shop in DE...I'm sure there are places to go.
I've heard of Rocky Gorge...never been, and it's probably quiet because most people who live in Laurel aren't the outdoors type
I say make a thread with the info and see what happens....just make the date a good bit away so we can all clear our schedules.
I run the "Capital Chapter" of 355Nation.net (Colorado/Canyon forum) and I have set up mod days/meets/etc. so if you need a hand I'm willing to help out any way I can, just PM me!

I have a 2011 CTS-V Coupe on order that has a build week of 7 March............I hope to catch up with a few local people soon after. I'm coming from a C6 Z06 so I hope I don't lose too much performance. I live in Smithfield, Virginia (Hampton Roads) but work in Annapolis, MD.

Is this the place near the airforce base? Or is that speed unlimited?
Maybe. We are still a good ways off from making a huge meet. But I like the ideas.

Ahhh ok. Dont knwo them. Dislike speed unlimited.
What about a meet at MIR or 75-80 for a drag night. I normally pay to race and just sit in the pits with my friends that run.
So you wouldnt have to run. But show up and chill.

Any thought to getting something together in April? I will be back in town from the 3rd to the 22nd. Would be nice to see some fellow V owners for once.
Side note, how about BeHe Performance (in Eldersburg MD, at routes 97 & 26) they are big players in the LS and the V scene. Just a thought.

Link to their site please? Do you have a contact there? Its just hard for me, like when I did shop meets in the past, either I or someone else knew the shop guys WELL. And being so new to this scene, its kinda hard since i know so few people/shops.

Either way wouldn't be a problem...
You know you can rent MIR out for a day? It's about 100 a person for a weekday (I.E. Friday) with atleast 10 people.
I think for a first meet, should have a small cook out and/or cruise. Or, if a shop is willing to "host" it, then we could kill 3 birds with one stone....dyno, cruise, cookout

too busy tends to be a logistical nightmare. Normally a cookout works along. Cruise w a lunch. Now I did do a lunch cruise shop meet last two years. That does work.
yeah MIR is a pain though. I did it witht he sentras. Collected 2500+ dollars(its more than that for only 10 people I am pretty sure) and then it rained for 2 straight weeks and I had to cancel. Its not impossible. But its a HUGE pain to track and organize.

Behe might not be the ideal place for a dyno day since they use a Dynapack chassis dyno. It takes a bit more work to strap one on. However they are a nice facility, and a great group of guys, a cookout might work if they are interested.
