These failed pretty quickly. I'm at least encouraged that maybe, just maybe, this was a quality control problem and an isolated incident. I'll bet several hundred sets of these yellow mounts are in service. Isn't this the first yellow set reported to fail? My set has been in for 2 years with no issues. We loosened them up to install a clutch a few months ago and they were in great shape. Interesting to see how this latest development plays out.

Any pics of them? Are they a solid mount?

Mine did the same thing but it was caused by me tightening them to much (factory specs). I had no idea that these mounts were just grade 8 bolts bonded to urethane with no center stucture to it. UUC really needs to start including torque specs with these mounts. You can NOT get away with torqueing these down to factory specs.

I have a feeling that a lot of these mounts are failing due to people torqueing them down to much and weakening the bond of the bolt to the urethane. Please be advised that if you do buy these mounts that you only want to snug them down using a 3/8's ratchet.

I bought my car with bad mounts at 45k. 40k worth of spirited driving(by both myself and the wife) later they are still bad mounts lol. I'm finally ordering CS motor mounts, trans mount, and diff bushing(which was also shot when I bought the car and still is) tomorrow, and will be installing them when I go on R&R leave in three weeks. I can't wait to feel the difference!

Mine have been in since before I owned the car.

Do you think I have any leg to stand on with their lifetime warranty?
