Cts-v = Omg Fast!

it doesn't really threaten the M5, then again what does. and the v10 500hp version (made to compete with rs6 and E55 benz) should keep it there.
as far as the m3, weight plus the handling is in another class. top 10 cars a million years ina row.

Color will always be subjective. I can't imagine owning it in silver but that's me. It just looks so damned mean in black. I thought I wanted black with parchment interior until I saw the black w/ black. Incredible. Looks like pure evil.

I agree, while the CTS-V bests or equals most numbers posted by M3's, M5's, C32's and the like, it will probably never convert a Euro driver into an American driver. It's more of a status symbol for them and then the perceived "driving experience". The CTS-V could be twice as fast as an M5 and the BMW driver would still say, "Well it's still only a Cadillac". I could afford a BMW, Mercedes, Lexus or Infiniti but it just doesn't mean anything to me. Why pay $75-$80K for a car that equals the performance of a $45K car? Is a logo really worth $30,000? Not for me.
I wanted a Corvette, but a Corvette doesn't fit my lifestyle at all. Absolutely not a family friendly car. Now GM offers 2 vehicles with Corvette-like performance, exceptional fit and finish at a reasonable price, that can seat 4 passengers. The GTO and CTS-V have given all perspective buyers something to think about.
