Do I need to update firmware? How don't know if I have the latest version?

Thanks!

Navteq 6.9 is the latest version and it's not a cadillac DVD it's from the maker of the units of our car I will have the DVD by Monday and will confirm weather or not you will need a firmware update. So stay tuned. Also 6.9 is a 2010-11 map versus the last Cadillac map is 2009

The only reason I made a copy is so I don't wreck the original, and not interested in making bootleg copies and selling them. and charging people $50 for them, wow.

My suggestion is to keep an eye on ebay and such, as you can find them for a good price (not much more than $50) and then just make yourself a copy. You can find a dual layer DVD for ~$1 if you shop around.

So you posted this to inform everyone that you WON'T help?

Paying attention to this thread. We really need a new disc for our '06V, it can't find half the roads in our area. Hell, it can't even find FM1960!

I found the 6.7 maps online (in those nefarious corners of the Interwebs), but 6.9, not so much. serik21 is your best best for the new stuff.

Serik21, kinda resurrecting this thread from the dead but did you ever figure out if 6.9 works? I need an update for my '06. We just made a trip to Vegas and part of the way the Nav screen looked like we were playing Asteroids!

Thanks

If anyone is still looking for a Nav disc, I have one that came with my '04 that I'm willing to part with. According to the Nav system, I live in the middle of nowhere. Literally....there's no map data for my city, or surrounding 500 miles haha. Just a dot on a page. So if anyone needs one, and is willing to pay the shipping, PM me.

Thanks heavymetals!! I wanted to contact you as you seemed to be the one mostly helping everyone out but I couldn't find a way to PM you...maybe because I'm a newbie and haven't posted enough on the site yet?

Let me know if you can confirm you have the firmware disc and the details it would be much appreciated. Also do you know if the Nissan p/n U4709-0075-210 v6.11 was the latest map disc?
