rev your engine with the clutch in to about 3500 rpms, in 2nd gear, drop the clutch, then quickly hit the brakes with your left foot. Takes practice to perfect it. Dont practice at the track, you'll just look like a tard. Practice somewhere safe, while its raining.

I'll post my slips this weekend. My slips are at home, and Im on business. But yea, I stageup, rev to about 4500 rpms, wait for the last yellow to begin to slip my clutch, as soon as I feel complete weight transfer, and hookup, I give the clutch pedal a "knee jerk" reaction, and pin the throttle to the floor. Then pray for an 11 sec run. lol

thanks guy.....and good runs OP..lookin good
The airbox comes out from the top 3 bolts if I remember correctly, then if you remove the snorkel and mess with the plastic tunnel leading into the box you will want to remove the upper grill to get access.

Great description on the launch technique. I appreciate that. Wouldn't have guessed second gear.

Also, I'll be doing the airbox deal too. Thanks for that.

I do my burnout in 2nd gear because it wheelhops a lot less, and it "shocks" the drivtrain a lot less in the burnout box. Plus, your tires spin faster in 2nd gear compare to 1st gear, so they get more hot, and usually stick better on the launch.

Did you say whether you had race axles or just regular axles?

He's in the SRK section. I spoke to him maybe a few weeks back about something. He's around on here. Drop him a PM if you have any questions. He no longer has a V
