I think its the ctsv luck... I blew my rear end two days after getting my ctsv. Luckily the dealer replaced it for free.

I think it adds character............jk sorry about your luck.

I have always heard when you buy a new car you should just scratch it yourself so you dont have to be so **** about it anymore.....this adds a whole new meaning.

Ran into one of these tonight: 2008 BMW 535xi

He still had his dealer plates too (how I was able to determine year). I was doing about 65 when he decided to blow by me & I couldn't catch up, I was already in 6th when he did.

What cars do I truly have to worry about while stock? Besides the Z06s, etc.

I had a 535i do a ricer flyby on me too. This was in Plano.

Vehicles I would not race while stock: Besides the obviouse I would say stay away from C5+ Vette, LS3 Camaro, new 5.0 Mustangs, 2003-2004 Cobras, anything that wants to race that has a turbo (diesel trucks, 335i, 135i etc...if they are tuned you are toast), any cammed LS car, IS-F, e92 M3, C63, RS4...the list goes on. Just be sure you know what it is before you oblige him. There are some nasty turbo Civics in DFW...they will EMBARRASS you.

Oh my ...

I would also look into diminished value. Cause a carfax at some point will show this repair and you'll take a HUGE hit on a car like this.

The interior in the IS-F is a joke, the cluster is nice though.

Those things are quick for sure. Off the line they spank us. From a 40 roll it will be close.

I like that "cts-v" luck. Me and a friend of mine bought ours at about the same time. About a week after he got his, his balancer came off the crank. Then about month went by, and he backed into a pole. Two weeks after purchasing mine the radiator started leaking pretty bad. A few months went by and a women ran into me in the parking lot of hooters. We just called it the curse of the "v".

I'm still looking for a reputable DFW shop.

I still haven't made it to Sewell Grapevine to talk to Rick.
