Taken from the FAQ site. Looks like it's for a 6 cylinder model. I really don't want to spend $180.00 of a small module just so I can listen to my ipod. Can you do this where you just tap into the wires in the back of the radio?d

also diff between that kit and this one? http://www.amazon.com/Spec-Pa15-vett...=pd_cp_e_0_img
If this installs right behind the radio and not in the trunk I would probably do this. I want to avoid running wires frotn to back if I can.

the pa 15 is the newest model
http://www.usaspec.com/product.php?ProductID=27
supposedly you can hook up bluetooth to it among other things.
And this system plugs in under the rear deck to the XM box. You have to run the wire to the front for the ipod, unless you want to keep the ipod in the trunk.
Sorry I lied, I too have the pa15...supposedly there's a new one coming out that does more, not on usaspecs website anymore though.

So you DO have to run a wire to the front of the car. Is there any need to pull the radio out then? or just install this box back near the XM unit and run a ipod connector frotn to rear?
Any word on this working with the Iphone4?

Yes, read the website...you can't control from the headunit and the iphone at the same time though. You have to flip a switch on the box....and no you don't install the box in the back, you plug the wire in the back and install the box close to where you want the ipod at. The wire from the ipod to the box is short the wire for the box to the xm module is long. No, you don't have to pull the radio...it would be easier if all you had to do was pull the radio...it's a pain to pull the back seats and c pillar panels to remove the rear deck.

Ill be payign someone to do this....
Its either that or the cut wires to the radio method from the FAQs. Anyone dont that yet? because if so I would just install spade connectors so I could easily revert back to XM if i ever sell.
PLus the apple plug wouldnt work with my mophie case anyway(backup battery).

Screw all the aux kits for that price. That's almost 50% of a decent Carputer (check the store):

Granted, it takes some dash mod, but this is completely awesome:

Imagine tethering to your cell phone & browsing the forum while driving long trips! This will probably be my 1st mod.

Oh and if you do this make sure to get a STEREO wire not a MONO wire like I did and had to drive back to Radio Shack with my dash in pieces. I was also replacing the trim plate and worn out stereo buttons at the same time. (greatest mod yet...these dashes look like CRAP when the paint starts peeling and buttons are worn out!!! It was pretty inexpensive to replace and looks 100x btter IMO!)

Digging up an old thread here...
So, what's the call on this bad boy?
Install the box in the back, AND remove the head unit?
Remove the rear deck to get to the XM module? I thought the XM module was stuck on the side of the truck, behind the RH tail light?
So, it sounds like I'll need to pull wire from the rear into the center console for this to work eh?
And write ups with photos?
