Default low MAP sensor voltage on brand new install

brand new Maggie, not even driven yet, also had 10% ovedrive harmonic balancer. keeps getting "MAP low voltage code", both on dash and hand held analyzer. Mechanic says "those wires were kind of long, like 10 feet." Anyone have a clue?

Are you sure that your mechanic installed the MAP sensor correctly? That grommet has a nasty habit of rolling when trying to get the MAP sensor in there causing a possible vacuum leak right at the sensor. I know I pushed the whole damn thing into the intake twice trying to get the sensor installed.

Also, the wiring harness may have been chewed on by the pulleys in the rear. Easy if not enough zip-ties were used. Those would be the two things I would check first.
