It is probably not your bushings. The bolt they use through the steel spacer part (that goes inside the bushing) is fully threaded when it should be a shouldered bolt. If you replace the crappy bolt with a shouldered bolt, it will tighten up. Mine had all kinds of smashed threads, an aircraft grade bolt fixed it right up.

I have a spare shifter if you want to have a core. I thought I needed a new one so I bought a used katech shifter, ended up using that even though the stocker turned out fine.

Core refund change notice!!
I am changing the refund core to $30 b/c I can get new whole shifter assemblies for the same price. Don't worry. Those of you who have already paid for your shifters as of today will get the original $50 that I had stated. I hope this doesn't change potential buyers minds b/c at the end price of $90 and $130 for a short shifter is still cheap.

To all that have bought the shifter here is a good write-up on changing the shifter without dropping driveshafts, exhaust, etc...

Got the new shifter installed over the weekend. I LOVE it!! I did the install in about an hour without removing the exhaust or the drive shaft.

I do have a few questions.

1. Did I need to use any lock-tite on any of the bolts or nuts?

2. Did I need to grease the very bottom mounting point that fits into the linkage? Did I need to do anything with that Bushing? Replace it or anything? (I didn't)

3. Also my shifter is a bit tight and notchy , this doesn't really bother me, I kinda like it, but will it hurt anything over time?

4. How would I make it "smoother"? I would assume to loosen up that bottom bolt? Should I?

I will be sending my stock stuff back to you this week. Thanks for the Nice product, support, and help!!

Check my Mod list in the Sig, I included your shifter!!

I have a few answers

1. Did I need to use any lock-tite on any of the bolts or nuts? NONE NEEDED BUT IT WOULDN'T HAVE HURT IF U DID. I DIDN'T ON MINE

2. Did I need to grease the very bottom mounting point that fits into the linkage? Did I need to do anything with that Bushing? Replace it or anything? (I didn't) NO NEED TO. I DIDN'T ON MINE.

3. Also my shifter is a bit tight and notchy , this doesn't really bother me, I kinda like it, but will it hurt anything over time? NO IT WON'T. IT'S B/C YOU TIGHTENED THE LINKAGE BOLT A LITTLE TOO TIGHT.

4. How would I make it "smoother"? I would assume to loosen up that bottom bolt? Should I? ANSWER IN PREVIOUS QUESTION BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE ONLY MADE THE BOLT SNUG TIGHT. JUST GO BACK UNDER THERE AN MAKE IT SNUG.

I'm glad you like the shifter and thanks for the advertising in your signature block. Please return the same items I sent you.

Good on you to find a great deal, and maintain the same offer of the $50 core on the early purchasers of your shifter.

kags1969 you are now on the list. Once I get the cores in I will send you an invoice.

All that have received the modified shifters please send me back your old one so I can get them back out to the next person in line.

If you bought a shifter and received it let me know if you are returning your old one for a core refund. Also ETA of return. Please ship it back ASAP so I can get more out.

enavarrotta: the push button is really easy to install. No relays needed and only 3 wires total. Only works when u press the clutch and has a low light LED for night use. It's an extra step but I like push starting it and you can still start it the "regular" way. Total cost is $40.
