Its pretty easy. Took about 5 minutes. My first plate I folded the bottom of the plate so you could read the letters. This one, I bent the bottom a little, then the top till it would fit. I also put black duct tape on the bottom edge of the plate so it wouldnt scratch the paint.

It is painted. I originally put tint overlay on the whole light, but didnt like the way it looked, so I took the overlay off, and painted the edges with taillight paint. It looked pretty good at first, but now it is starting to fade a little. I am going to take it to a paint shop and have them redo it.
