I am pretty sure they put a protective clear coat over they top of it, so it should be pretty durable.

They are clear coated as far as I have looked into it. i am waiting on relpies to find out how they hold up under heat like a engine bay. but being as I have seen a number of them on covers already... I would assume they hold up fine.

I went to the website of the company in the video, says that for an 18" wheel it is $75 per wheel.

The item is then finished in matte, semi gloss or high gloss clear coat or gel coat, wet sanded and buffed to perfection.
Straight from the website. I would assume it will hold up pretty darn well especially since they do wheels.

Search around, a lot of people use them on valve covers and last years.

Um yeah I was quoted at 350-500 for a hydro dipping on the fuel rail covers. Funk that idea i could get actual CF ones for that kind of money.

It went waaaaaay quicker the second time. The plasti dip pretty much adhere's to anything. I went sanded the smooth stuff on the grill, and used a wire brush to get all the paint off the wire mesh part of the grill.

hey, the finished product looks great!

I'll be doing this tomorrow...I had a couple questions for you

did you have to remove the bumper?

if not, how did you remove the lower grille and the upper grille with the emblem?

thanks!

No bumper removal. The top grill portion connected to the hood is just held on by nuts. The other two grill's are held on by plastic thingies on the inside of the bumper. The same kinda pin's that hold the heat shield thing down over the radiator. Just look a little before you start taking pin's out. And yeah, just tape off the emblem. I did about 5 coats each, just to be on the cautious side

flat..... but it looks lke it almost has a little bit of gloss to it when the sun hit's it. That is the only plasti dip color that they have. a little over 3 can's is what I used. I had to go back to home depot a couple times because the spray bottle's were defective. Lame
