Just an update to this thread for any future visits.
Turns out it was indeed my water pump. The problem was that I could not find a rebuilt pump anywhere in the country and was trying to avoid spending the big money on a new GM pump.
I happened to find another thread in which the OP posted about using an f-body pump. So I tried this. It does in fact work. I measured the diameter of the pulley and it is the exact same as the V. The main difference is that the V has a shallow pulley while the f-body has that really wide one. I had to bust off one guard on the fan shroud to slide the pump in to place but that is all.
Best of all, Advance Auto has online coupons you can use. They had this brand new pump in stock for me to pick up. The pump was $138 and I used a $30 off online coupon. Price was $108

Hey as far as people being grumpy and smartass, it will happen. Everyone has their days on here lol. As far as the radiator I was faced with the same issue but sadly went the cheap route, will probably regret it in a year...But here is the thread I had on here as far as a rad ... check this one if you have the bank its twice as much yet 20 times as good.
