Ill prob go with a torque/mid range cam in this car since it's typically between 2k-4k rpms. Rarely do I wind it out but as long as the power doesn't dump off up top, I'll be satisfied. Like u said, I'm a heavy car like this, that torque and mid-range power will really help get it moving!

I find that my corsa exhaust is really quiet at idle compared to about 4k rpm so that could contribute to you not hearing it much never mind the video quality.

Yeah that's true. The camaro sounded like a straight pipe exhaust. Lol or maybe an SLP loudmouth setup. I'm sure that had a lot to do with the sound difference at idle. If I had my choice, I'd run something quiet but have cutouts as well for when I want to wake the dead... Lol

You are dead on. Your cam is actually bigger and has more overlap than the cam in that camaro I posted. Video quality is one reason and exhaust setups the other. Yours also makes power significantly later too. Your cam has 5 degrees of overlap as opposed to 4 for that 228R on a 110lsa so with the same exhaust setup, yours would lope more.

So in other words it wouldn't be a good choice? What if the springs are rated for a much higher lift than what the cam is actually capable of lifting? Like if the springs were good for .700 lift?

I wouldnt base cam choice on valvespring wear personally unless you put 20k a year on the car. With the MS4 you would want to get them changed out after 20k or so miles. So 250 bucks for new springs and another 90-100 in labor if you dont do it yourself.

I think MS4 in a V1 is way overkill since youll want to wind it out a lot more then a smaller cam. Id stay low-mid 230s.
