Default All-Season tire recommendations?

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend an All-Season tire for a V1.

It's an 05, it's stock, I don't need run-flats.

It had Eagle F1 All-Season run-flats when I got it last March & those seemed sticky. (they were also down to the wear bars)

I bought some '07 rims with stock RSA run-flats on them & they are still on the car, but are just about worn out.

I want All-Season so I can drive year 'round in Denver, where winters are typically cold (at least in the mornings) but dry, but I don't plan on driving in snow.

I might be able to get a deal on Michelins, so I was looking at Pilot Sport A/S Plus, but if I can't get a deal on Michelins, I'll be open to whatever.

Continentals? Hankooks? Kumhos?

What are people running? & who likes what they've got?

Thanks!

I just bought some general gmax going on this weekend. Had them on my G8 and liked them. If you are interested, I'll be selling some Michelin pilot hx mxm4 soon.

I like my pilot sport a/s plus tires. They were on the car back when I bought it and I've put another 15k on them. Pretty good tires. I'd get them again.

I like the Michelin tires best if cost isn't an issue but as far as best bang for the buck, the Continental DWS tires are hard to beat.

PS - if you are interested, I have a second set of 4, 245/45-18 Goodyear RSA tires (tread between 5+ and 6+/32nds) on OEM stock rims in good shape with TPMS and silver center caps recently balanced by Discount Tire from my old 2005 CTS-V that I am planning on selling. I also have 2 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires 245/45-18s (loose), one has 7/32nds and the other I used as a spare with 2/32nds. Finally, I have 2, 265/40-18 Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S tires with 5 and 6/32nds tread. PM me if you are interested. I am in Phoenix and shipping to Denver won't be too expensive if I can get one of my buddies who is driving from PHX to DEN next week to take them along with him. I can email you photos of everything = 4 wheels and 8 tires.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS looks good in tirerack's test results.

Michelin A/S Plus have been great. Very good in rain and worth the money IMO.

Another vote for the Michelin Pilot Sprt A/S Plus.

I put them on my stock '05 last year and after 6,000+ miles so far, I still really like them.

Much more quiet than the runflats and they ride softer too. Though that translates into not-quite-as-sharp handling, but not sloppy either.

They're great in the rain, and so far pretty good in a few inches of snow. Any more snow than that and I will probably be looking to toss a couple hundred pounds in the trunk for added traction, or find another ride.
