I want to see a ATS-V with a LS3 and a proper six speed manual that weighs in at around 3800lbs. Basically a V1 with all the BS issues fixed and all of the expected creature comforts in a modern luxury car. I'd say thats quite doable.

This link to car and driver should help answer some questions. It def seems as though there will be a ATS-V, but it doesn't look like it will receive a V8. It will probably get a turbo 6 they say making around 380 hp. I know that sucks but here it is:

Great...the CTS V is going to get fatter.
"The third-gen CTS will again get bigger, and therefore be repositioned as a direct competitor to the BMW 5-series, Audi A6, and Mercedes-Benz E-class."

seems logical to finally do what would make sense with the cts since its always been too big and heavy for its class.

yeah i think thats ton of potential with a stout boosted motor and rwd platform
well people seem to want to compare the current cts-v verses the M5 even though they arent in the same class....

its just a big car, but the v1/v2 are still in the entry level luxury class.
