05 V diff fluid question?
So I have read a lot about the diff problems with the 04 and 05 V's and I want to at least keep up the maintenance as scheduled so I went to the dealer to ask what type of fluid the car recommends but all he could tell me is that it takes 75-90 and I think he said a quart and a half or so if I remember correctly(I know it was less than 2 qts.) My question is does it take synthetic or conventional and also he said it didn't require limited slip additive even though I know it has a limited slip diff. I read a thread a while back that said that GM didn't require limited slip additives but I don't understand how that could be possible. Any suggestions?

I don't think there's any real downside to using the GM grape-aid stuff?
Diff failures are usually the case itself cracking open. I don't think any fluid is better than another at preventing that from happening...
