Default Broken diff?

I have a 2005 ctsv with a easy care warranty. they declined coverage. the dealer said they will install it for free and give me parts at cost. I asked if i bring in a rearend will they install it for free and they said yes. so my question is other then the oem replacment what other options do i have. Will a zo6 be better, camaro,

If im shelling out 2500 for parts what are my options?

Oh and F**K easy care.

brand new gen 4 diff should be less than 1600 if they are really giving it to you for cost.

I don't believe those other rear ends will bolt in. It would require a custom fabricated bracket to make those work. Why was you claim denied?

Really the only diff that will bolt it is the stock diff or a creative steel 8.8. The Z06 uses a transaxle type so that's a no go. The Camaro uses a completely different diff as well. The older Saturn Sky and the Pontiac Solstice use the same case but use a different gear set and pinion. The new sky and solstice use almost the same case, front pinion mount is redesigned.

Yea its the driveshaft and diff. well easy care said it didnt fail because of internal failure. so they wont cover it. i looked the parts up on gm parts depot and with freight it was the same as what they offered. The cost is not a big deal but i just figure if i was already dipping into my account i might as well go big.

The g-force is out of the question. so it looks like a oem one.

What mods do you guys recommend to use. i know the wheel hop j bar thing is a good buy, but what about bushings and the panard bar looking thing from bmr.

I am more mad that i cant drive my car. I live in ohio so i have about one month of driving it before i bust out the lumina lol.

I'd fight it too. I have Easy Care but hopefully I'll never have to use it either.

Show them all the documented cases of Aluminum case failure you can find. Pictures speak a thousand words. Try starting a thread called "Show me your diff carnage" and see how many people post of their thrashed differential pics.
