Installed everything last night. Very easy to do the wheel with proper tools and a gentle touch releasing the clips for the airbag.

**** is a UUC. Color is charcoal.

As you can see the wheel is slightly fatter than stock. I would however recommend the thicker padding on the V if you want it noticeable. The alcantara does feel great though. Takes a bit of getting used to palming the wheel in tight turns.

Side note: The CTS wheel I got had the controls with the volume **** on the right and "1234" on the left. I plugged it in and none of the controls worked in my car.

Just my opinion, I think it looks out of place. Kinda like a steering wheel cover you get from Pep Boys. I also think that the wheel was thick enough from the factory but every has different preferences.

Maybe a dark black would look better with black stitching IMO.

Cool mod tho. Nice to know the option is there.

100x better, that stock wheel is an eye sore.

9t8z28 go drive another performance car that takes turns and compare our wheel to that one.

Bumping this one back up - how are the wheels holding up after a year? Just looking for some testimonials to the quality of Dallas Steering Wheel's work and how it's holding up after some usage.

I bought a "new" wheel for my Mustang on ebay and it'll need to be re-wrapped once I actually receive it, so I'm looking at my options. I've always hated the ugly, rubber 2-spoke wheel - that 2-spoke design just looks stupid. Even with the Wheelskins wrap on there it's too thin, and obviously the Wheelskins wrap doesn't look that great around the fat spokes. So I grabbed an older 3-spoke wheel to replace it [that pic is actually the leather SVO version; I'm just getting the plain Jane rubber version].

On the more baller note , there's a guy that advertises over on the Subaru forum that does carbon fiber and leather/suede steering wheels. Pretty damn expensive, but looks sweet IMO.

pat, my wheel is still in perfect condition while being used as a DD. the swaaayyde is still brand new. no fading 10+ months in Fl sun.. wrap still secure, no loose spots or material braking down. still love it.. DSW is great, i actually forgot to change my ebay settings, a part got delivered to them by accident, they mailed it to me for free.. great customer service.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sometimes I feel sorry for the smilies that never get used, so here's some extras.

Been meaning to update this thread, but keep forgetting to bring my camera to the car.
The wheel and shifter boot are still perfect. I put 10K miles on the car this past year, and in NYC the steering wheel and shifter get A LOT of use.

The shift **** is showing a bit of wear though under the fourth gear marker. I guess it's the way I hold it when I'm shifting into the odd gears.
I would definitely recommend them.

I'm loving your wheel. I actually just bought a spare wheel to do this too.

I'm thinking go with same color material as you, but black stitching to match the V2 **** I have. And to mix things up a bit, add slightly more pronounced grips and some carbon inserts.

I'm still waiting to receive the used Mustang wheel that I want to get re-wrapped. Meanwhile, I got a quote back from Dallas Steering Wheels for about the same as was previously posted here for the V wheels - around $300 + a bit extra to thicken the rim.

I also got a quote back from JPM Coachworks, who I learned about through the Subaru world and previously mentioned in this thread. Holy shitzu, talk about eye-watering - $595 for the wheel, plus another $275 to do the center/horn section. Yikes! I have no doubt that their work is top notch, but that's a little rich for my blood.
