Your car sounds rude. I love it.

Can't wait to see the HREs. I've been contemplating a set myself, but have only seen a few V1s that have them.

you decided on tires yet???. i would try and throw some M/T ET Street Radial in the back over PS2s but i dont think they make 19in skinny enuff for the V.. any bigger then 275ish w/ the stock trailing arms and it will rub.

The F1C procharged V1 down here was running 18in M/Ton the stock wheels.. he said that they are the only tires he can run on her now

As far I I'm concerned there is no equal to M/T for traction.... Pretty much been through all the different drag radials since I can only get about 1500 or so miles out of a set.... (street tires are waste of time, Since it hits the rev limiter as soon as you touch touch the throttle)
But the big question is, With the power your putting down, Do you really want great traction until you do something with the diff & axles ?

I'm going to give the Nitto NT05's a shot in the rear with the PS2's up front. Im going with the gforce IRS 9" kit strange 35 spine with the 2 pc chromoly/aluminum drive shaft. hopefully all this will be done in time for spring.

the rear end will make your car bulletproof. Or even take a look at the 8.8. 8.8 pumpkins are eaaaaasy to find. And are cheap.

Destroyed two of the 8.8's before I went with the 9"
Face it..... These are pretty heavy cars to launch
Not saying an 8.8 can't be made to hold the torque, But it didn't for me

I love the M3
I was looking at buying one of those, but being a Cadillac technician I just couldn't justify not buying a V.

It was one off custom...... I was one of the pioneers on this stuff, Was doing these things before they were being done, So the new 8.8 may be a
better system than the one I had done.
My 9" is by Madman Racing who was the first to do this conversion and was done several years ago & long before the current kits were in existence.

so just a little update. I've been so busy with starting another business, but I finally got around to ordering up the nitto NT05's. I went with 285/35/18's rear and ill be running the PS2's up front. I'll give my .02 on them after I beat not hem for a little.

I also ordered a cover king custom satin car cover for the car for storage. Red with embroidered caddy emblem in the front and embroidered CTS-V logo in the rear. I'm still not ready to pull the trigger on a rear-end yet. Ill wait 'til Gforce has a special discount offer on the 9" IRS kit again like they did around new years.

Their prices actually went up a bit right after the new years sale.

Edit: Actually looks like the kit went up by about $1k.

ME either!!!

I finally ordered tires. I went with Nitto NT05 285/35/18, they should be here tomorrow.

I also treated myself to a nice car cover. Covercraft custom red satin with caddy emblem up front and v emblem in the rear embroidered.

Sweet snap a photo of the cover on the car if you can. I would like to know how you like it. I've thought about getting one myself.
