Default New clutch in the 04

Nothing new to the crew, but I figured I'd throw out my opinion on the ACT clutch kit. I installed it last week with the aid of my boss at his house... All in all not terrible with exception to the bell housing what an f'n PITA... I think it took me longer to remove the bell housing than removing the exhaust, driveline, and transmission. Anyways I was surprised that the factory clutch was still in great shape (71000 miles with mp112 blower)... The main reason I changed it prematurely was that stupid boat anchor flywheel was vibrating man that thing is atrocious. So... The new ACT kit is quite nice the pedal is a bit stiff... Just means one calf will be bigger than the other haha... And so far it engages fairly smooth. I've only put on about 200 miles since the install, so I'm sure it will get more "grabby"... Chatter isnt that bad and it's starting to fade away the more I drive. The one thing I wish I could change is the pedal travel... The spacer needs to be a hair longer because the pedal has to be fully depressed and the moment you let off its there... A bit rough for stop and go situations. It's rated for more power than I'm putting out (435ish to the ground... Probably more with the fair weather now since I dyno'd in the summer outside @ 103 degrees), but this kit was recommended to me by some friends with faster toys... I'll keep you guys updated with any problems should I have any

Once you break in that clutch the engagement should come up a bit.

I did the clutch in mine a couple weeks ago. Started at 5pm, didn't get the trans out til about 9, finished bleeding at 2am. I approve of the LS7 clutch. Gives a little more vibration around 2k under light acceleration, but otherwise is nice and smooth.
