Exclamation UMI Motor Mount review

I just picked up my 2005 CTS-V. I had a bunch of stuff done, but among the list was new UMI motor mounts.

Symptoms:

-Hard to shift gears
-Squeak/rattle from engine when starting from a dead stop
-Dieseling/shaking the whole car when shut off

Procedure:

From what I was told its pretty straight forward. the guy that did it is meticulous and it took him 4 hours with the exhaust off. He was able to reuse the stock heat shields with minor tweaks.

Pros:

-I can shift my car like normal!!
-No more squeaks or rattles in the drivetrain!
-The engine shuts off so smooth...I was kind of concerned that something was wrong!

Cons:

-Noticeable vibration when taking off in first gear, and when lugging the engine. Fixed by slipping the clutch a hair more/more rpms, and not lugging the engine. Otherwise, they drive and feel absolutely perfect!!

Never in my wildest dreams would I think bad engine mounts would cause so many problems and noises. BUT the UMI mounts fixed it all!

I also installed a Creative Steel transmission mount. My car feels so much more "connected" now. I can chirp the tires now, when I never could before. The car definitely feels faster. That might be because of the kooks 1 7/8" long tubes that were just put on. My car sounds amazing now too Vids to follow.

Good to know. I want to get them, but I'm holding out for a 'sale price'

I got them at the introductory price of $200. Even at $250 they are well worth it!
