Default Shifter mod

I grabbed a used shifter to modify and decided to look at other options. Has anyone had the lower portion machined with a longer shaft ?
I'm gonna send this out and see if one can be built for a reasonable price possibly with the option to chose different lengths.

Pissnuoff (I think that's how you spell it) sells a whole shifter that has been modified similar to what you are talking about. The difference is he make an extension basically that presses between the shifter and the bottom half.

I saw his thread last night and there was a guy before him that did similar. If a whole lower section could be made someone could do the mod themselves in about 10 min without welding or having to send it out.

PISNUOFF. I have an insert that presses in between where you have it separated. I also modify the top portion to lower the **** height about 1/2". It's difficult to press it on the top portion without separating it at the rubber connection and it's tricky to get it back together.

Thanks ! I figure after all these years almost every option has been explored. Next is to get lower shifter bushings to replace the bushing, sleeve and o-ring contraption.
