Have asked multiple manufacturers...none want any part of it. "Not enough demand" was once said...to that, I sent them to a CF thread, started on CaddiForums I believe, that had 6 people "in" and many more with interest. Some companies just want to make 100+, and if they won't sell that many, why waste their time.

I think they could probably get 100 honestly. That is only 6-10 people on the forum. Lots of people have V's not on here. I don't think there would be much over 100, but still. if they made 50 hoods for the V1 and sold them all at 200$ profit (easy) thats 10g's but I guess thats peanuts to the V2 community. I have accepted the fact that the V1 is just a stepchild.

Guys I would love to do one for the v1 but $10k doesn't even cover my design and mold cost. If you do it right, its not cheap and everyone of these hoods were ready to bolt on out of the box without need to modify other than sand and paint if its not CF.

I have the EC hood on my V1. Looks very similar to that. Only problem is you need someone who is very good with Fiberglass to fair in the vents and rain catchers. I work for an aerospace company and I had one of the guys from the plastic shop do my hood. He did a great job.

Most of the water actually drains out through the latch hole. The holes in the picture are probably air holes.
