Default Forgestar F14 Wheels Imminent

Peter at Forgestar just sent me the following email:

CTS-V 6 Lug Owners,
You are receiving this email because you have inquired about our new 6 lug Forgestar hubcentric F14 fitment. At this time we are developing a 19" F14 fitment for the 6x115 bolt pattern for the Cadillac CTS- V and STS-V.

We are planning to either make a:

19x8.5 +35 Front
19x10 +42 rear

or

19x9 +40 Front
19x10 +42 Rear

If you have any more recommendations let us know. Let us know what you think of those offsets and width. We want to make sure the fitment is perfect before we start producing the wheels.

----

Thoughts? Here's a shot of the deep concave version of the wheels:

Linkage to more F14 finishes.

I will let them use my car for a test fit if need be. of course if they let me keep the rims, they make such nice wheels!

With 10" rims in the back. be warned you MAY need the special trailing arms to clear the inside of the wheel. Im running the Linea Corse option now. And had to get the MAP arms to allow clearance.

Wish these were out last year.

In the event that you want trailing arms, I highly recommend picking up a set from Killernoodle over on the Cadillac Forums. He's fabricating some pretty gnarly trailing arms that I posted about earlier. Been running them for about a week now and will post clearance figures once I get the F14s installed.

I would vote for the 9 inch front and run 255/35 or 265/35 up there. The 255/40 stock V2 size would probably rub at lock/bumps based on the dia size for a 19. These opinions come from owning the team dynamic wheels which are 18x9 +38. The F14 looks cool hope to see some pics of them on V1's soon.

Forgestar is great quality and they make sick wheels. 10s in the rear are gonna be a problem for those that don't research.

What are the bad boys gonna run?

Too bad we didn't have more offset...then we can run a dished wheel like the F14F....

Looks almost exactly like the TSW Nurburgrings. I wonder if anyone has tried to contact TSW about doing a V1/STS-V run?

Either way, it's a hot wheel.

By the way, the 19x8.5" Forgestar F14 weighs 22.5 lbs vs. 25 lbs for the OEM 18x8.5" CTS-V wheel.

Hey what about the guys running the linea corse's in a 10 in the rear? They have an offset of 47mm. Are any of those guys rubbing in the rear? If these were produced in a 42mm offset it would bring the wheel out that much further from the inside and maybe it would clear the trailing arm? Is that 5mm more out gonna help the clearance? We would have to ask one of the guys with the lc888's or the others in a 10 inch rear setup.

Just a thought...

Just be aware it takes forever for them to make them.
