Peter says our stock TPS sensors won't work with these rims, but there are 2nd gen GM TPS's that do........does anyone which ones will work?

Has anyone asked about brushed titanium? I know its past the group buy deal so I'm thinking of exactly how I would want a set to look like and it seems like the brushed titanium has the most shine.

Ermm, how on earth are we going to get those to sync with our fob, probably different frequency. Just thinking out loudly.

Any way for us to use bands/straps on our TPMS? Not uncommon for aftermarket wheels with TPMS compatibility issues if there's a way to make it work...

I suspect we won't know that until we get the wheels. I just don't understand why they won't fit.

I think getting a different (v2) tpms sensor to work is going to be a bit of a struggle unless the only difference between the sensors is physical size. I guess someone with a v2 and a v1 can try a little experiment quickly to see if a v2 sensor will be picked up by a v1. You just need to park the 2 side by side..

Stock tpms tire sensors will work with the f14. They fit through our valve stem hole with no issues.

Hey man , there’s some confusion on the forums. Some guys are saying you told them the stock Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors would fit, but on the phone, you told me they wouldn’t. Can you shed some light on this?

Thanks,

Shane

Glad to hear they will fit.

So... are these wheels just one piece forged wheels? I know someone said they weigh the same or less than stock but im torn between these or saving the $$$ for some CCW's depending on the quality difference.

Shane,

We just got the first 19x10 +42 F14 wheel fresh out of the new tooling and put it on the scale.

link to image below, 24.8 lbs.

It is now going to the testing lab for Rotary Bending Fatigue, 13-degree Impact @ 0-degrres, 13-degree impact @ spoke, Radial Load Endurance and Radial Load Fatigue physical testing.

Now we are working on the 19x9.

I still need to decide on a color. After thinking about it... For the size, weight and price (although i prefer the look of the CCW's) these are prob the better route to go unless i find a good deal on a used set of TF or CCW's.

Changed my order to brushed titanium from regular titanium. It's shinier and more importantly clear coated.

Regular titanium:

Brushed titanium:

I like shine and I don't like to spend hours polishing wheels so there you have it.

Yeah, the problem is that it looks like grey plastic under very bright light, and it's a pain to keep clean.

You might find this "making of" Forgestar wheels video interesting (minus the terrible music).
