easy tiger I never said cheesy or cheap just said flow. I'm sure waxing the werkes hood is a b*tch to wax and you get wax build up around the vents.

Glad to see people jumping on this thread, now only if I could find a complete used maggie my search would be over. We are 2 weeks away people!!))) Hopefully they can send those suckers out of there pretty quick for us but with a large order like this I would think they would be all over it.

PS Jaybird I love cheese so dont take what I said the wrong way

Normal price of $750 - either $100 or $150, depending on how many people get in on the deal. At least, that's what I get from the first couple sentences of the thread.

Funny thing, my stock hood is the same way.....

I get paid Friday so if the ventless hood is $600 after discount, I'm all about it. Whoever is taking care of contacting EC, let us know the total price soon. Also hoping they will allow me to have it shipped on my FedEx account as opposed to paying their full standard shipping rate.

Yaah Im in on one sans vents

I was working on notching my hood for the E-Force and the "notcher" slipped.

I should have just used the dremel. Oh well I was needing to get some chips cleared up anyways. Now I get a new hood.

Does anyone know if we can make a hole with a screen at the rear of the hood to get some venting through it?

It would be nice if the rear of the cowl was functional but I'd imagine it would be a pain to make that work.

I sent everyone that I could a PM, but a few of you aren't going to get one because your inboxes are full or you're blocking all private messages (shame on you!). If you didn't get a PM, and you're definitely in at the $100 discount, let me know. Don't give me an affirmative if you aren't 100% sure whether you're in or out for the April 15th target date. It makes us look really, really bad if we say we have X people and some of those people don't show up.

I'm going to call Extreme Composites tomorrow and try to hammer out the details.

Is it just me...or does Skydivers hood seem less angular than the others that have been posted? Maybe it's just the pic. Does anyone have a pic of a STS-V hood for comparison? I'm in Myrtle Beach right now and all I have is my Itouch.

That's because it is less angular.

The other hood pictures you've seen are for the Spectre Werks hood. They're totally different hoods.

yeah I was just gonna say that...there are no pics for a ventless EC hood. I haven't seen one at least. Not sure but I think that HO HO HO video for christmas had a ventless EC hood on that black V. Mybe it was SW I cant recal. And I kind of like things to flow and be less angular/choppy.

To me the EC hood looks nicer. Seems to have a little larger cowl too. Only downfall is the window squirters but im sure they can easily be mounted or what ill prob do is find some wiper arm squirters to keep them off the hood.

Yeah I heard about the window squirters as well. Is it really that difficult to drill them out yourself...i know granted its fiber glass it may be more problematic but shouldn't be impossible. Neversat your solution seems good if this is not possible.

Ps neversat do u have any vids of the sound of your cam just grabbed mine last night. Was looking at the vrx cams as well. Its a bit more mellow almost identical to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13OyUiZkmkE

I don't see why you couldn't mount them on the underside of the hood where the cowl gives you the space and the angle with which to fire them.
