I just got back from picking up by car with the LS7 clutch and flywheel. The engagement is definitely low to the floor, but honestly it's no big deal even if it stays there forever. I'm sure it will come up with time as others say, but I don't see what all the fuss is about. It feels great to me!

I will update this thread once I have more miles on it.

For me, "all the fuss" is about those who are reporting that their clutch engagement is so 'off' that they're unable to shift properly. I've seen reports of high RPM shifts becoming near impossible. That's a scary prospect for me.

Now, has anyone installed the LS7 slave with a spacer like the one you'd use if you had the LS6/2 slave? I saw "Fuzzy" post that he was thinking of having a custom 1/4" spacer made to use with his setup, but I havent seen anyone else that's used one of the spacers that are already available to us...

ive put about 100 miles on it so far. I dont know if im starting to get used to it. or it's actually coming up. But I think it is

during higher RPM shifts (havent gone that high due to break in period) I can feel the flywheel spinning through my clutch pedal a little. Hoping it goes away. Nothing that is undriveable or that annoying. But I can feel it

Shifting feels better and notchier; but in a smooth way

I just hit about 120 miles and I really can't tell if it came up a little or if I'm just used to it. I haven't tried high rpm shifting yet because my Magnavolt died and I'm waiting for the new boost a pump to show up before I go into boost. That has made it easier to break in the clutch without abusing it.

I'm up to 225 miles and the clutch engagement point has come up a lot, almost as high as stock if not the same. Engagement is smoother too, I love it. You do NOT need a spacer if you use all LS7 parts.

I was having a similar issue. Its the stupid plastic coupler which connects the master to the pedal that slides forward on the master rod. Heres what i did to fix it
