Subscribed!

Is it the same yellow they use on the V2's?

Are you going to have them apply the Brembo Decal, then clear over that?

Cost?

And what are you using to keep all the brake fluid from draining out?

Got done by rjsalvages. If you do it directly through Paypal they only charge $320 (regular $340 shipped) shipped. The calipers are rebuilt with all new seals.

The bad: $800 core charge. You have 45 days to return your stock calipers and then they refund your $800

The Brembo is high temp vinyl. They said they last a long time. No clear coat but I sort of like it like that just in case I don't like the Brembo and decide to change.

Sorry to be a tease. LOL

I had mine done by the same people. You'll be happy with the finish. I opted for the 8th day creations decals instead.

Save all that money and do it yourself

$40 in materal (including ebay "BREMBO" lettering) and couple nights labor. After 8 months holds up as good as powder coat. Fronts are turning a darker shade of yellow as you would expect.

Looks great!!!

I know I can save money but my time is worth more. $320 for powdercoated rebuilt calipers I think is a great deal and only spending 2-3 hrs max changing calipers and lines out. Priceless... (or $320 LOL)

Couple nights with family > Couple nights labor to get yellow calipers

I'll agree with the above... and painting them yourself does not get you rebuilt calipers either. It is cost effective though...

Yes i agree. If your car has a few miles then the rebuilt calipers is a good deal. In my case I had fairly low miles and was doing the goodridge brake lines so had the calipers off anyway so it was a good time to tru this out.
It's duplicolor caliper spray paint with the clear coat. 3 cans of each if I remember corectly.
Look forward to seeing yours azn.
Sorry about the threadjack. Someday ill learn.

No worries!!! I'm glad you posted. I've never seen a first gen with yellow calipers. Got me anxious to get mine on!!!

Do have matte black wheels or is it just from brake dust?

Matte black / flatte black something like that. As far as paint vs powdrcoat powdr coat wins no doubt. Today i fried mine as you can see in in this photo.

Paint is soft ang gooie. Is gooie a word? Anyway, your powder coat calipers will be alot nicer i'm sure. Good luck with them.
Btw please forgive the extra pic, i couldn't help myself. I parked here for an hour b4 i realized what i was parked next to. Lol
