Yeah I owed $11,615 and sold mine for $200 over payoff. ONLY a credit union would carry a loan on a 04 with 141k for that amount....OR any amount for that matter....I had a few people attempt to buy it but their bank would only loan $9,700-$10,200 on the car and I wasn't gonna pay $1,000+ to sell it. I had a HELLUVA fun time owning the car and didn't have any major mechanical issues. I'd buy another one in a second.....JUST NOT GONNA LOL

Ouch-- I won't touch a car loan now unless my bank gives me below 3%. Think the V is 2.9 and the WRX is 2.79%.

I paid $18,300 total for mine 25 mos ago. I had 7% rate and paid about 10 or so payments over (Payments were $330, I'd pay $400) and my payoff was $11,6xx. Usually with a simple interest loan you really start cutting into the principal by 18 mos or so. I put 80,xxx on the car in that time and broke even, I was happy. Last vehicle was 04 Tacoma with 230,xxx....I had it 36mos and owed $6,100.....Sold it for $8,500. I've been lucky on the past few.
