I know how you guys feel, haven't had my block go...yet...but have been in the shop plenty for body work and all sorts of bs, a week feels like a month without it, although I'm sure the neighbors are thrilled each time its gone

The LS6 is a good motor.. I had an oil leak that was only leaking when I drove (no oil puddles in my driveway) so when my oil light came on I thought it was an error because I had just replaced the oil about 4 months before and I only drive about 100 miles a week...
?
If it was leaking oil while driving it would have oil all over
the under side of the car and on the trunk and rear end.
If it leaked enough for the oil light to come on (2-3 quarts?)
you would have oil everywhere.
Didn't you notice?
The oil light comes on and you just keep driving?
Was it the low oil (level) or the oil pressure light?

Those lights are completely ridiculous, on a Legacy I had, the oil light came on, and than 2 seconds later boom, motor gone...I had just bought the car a little over a month ago, and always parked in grass at home, so didn't realize how big of a leak was there.....

My weekends are all booked from now until I head to Africa. I leave for New Jersey on the 17th and get back on the 24th. Then, on the 1st I will be heading to San Antonio until the 6th. And then on the 8th, I will be going to Florida until the 14th. And then I will be hoping on a plane, and going to Africa until January 2013...
I am going to a busy son of a bitch...haha.
