This is how Shanghai GM/Cadillac decided to debut the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe (Video)
By now some of you have already seen the teaser video we put up a few weeks ago showing some of the footage from the recent Super Moto Gala Show in Shanghai China. For those that didn't, here it is again:

Now for the details of whats going on here. As the title of the thread states, this event served as the debut of the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe in China. Keep in mind that the China market is typically about a year and some change behind the US in terms of release of new vehicles. One of the 450 cars in attendance was a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe ushered in by Shanghai GM/Cadillac. They flew us in to take care of the driving duties and demonstrate our abilities through our drag car. This served as the informal debut of this model in China and those in attendance witnessed it for the first time. It was certainly an alternative way to debut a new car to a local market considering that’s what car shows are typically used for. However that was not the case with this event. The logic here was to show the track prowess of the American Performance Luxury car in a competitive environment submerged in exotics & supercars. So how would the CTS-V Coupe stack up against cars that were easily 3x more? Watch the video to find out -
