Like others have done, they are mounted just before the mufflers in the the obvious spot that points out toward the rear of the car. Plenty of room to work there. I didn't want them in front of cats and only did them as a sound mod. I didn't want the pre-cat smell and sound coming right up from under the cabin near front of car. I'm happy with the install but may rewire the power. For the life of me I couldn't find a switched 12v source that works with the key in the trunk of the car. After the install someone mentioned that I could have used the rear view mirror power line that works on the key (DOH!). I mounted the switch just under the dash on the left side. As for the motor wires under the car, I came up through one of the drain plugs in the trunk tub and ran under the carpet all the way down the drivers side floor moldings to under the dash where the switch is.

Search youtube for 'electric cutouts cts-v' and you'll find a few vids where they are installed in the same location. If you decide to install in the same location, grab some flat black high temp exhaust paint to sray the faces of the cutouts. It helps tremendously with appearance and actually they blend in very well under the car. Hard to notice unless you're looking for them now.

Agreed, it also reduces the chance of theft. Can't steal what you can't see. Also, make sure to use red loctite on the bolts so one doesn't go missing.

Looks good.
